SC Water Planing Framework

November 1, 2019

Have you ever wondered who is responsible for guiding the policy, management, and conservation of South Carolina’s water resources?

It’s a group of water resource experts serving on a S.C. Department of Natural Resources committee called the State Water Planning Process Advisory Committee (PPAC) and our general manager Clay Duffie is a member. Since March 2018, he worked alongside fellow water resource leaders to develop a new Water Planning Framework for the state. That plan will be introduced to the public during two events in November. Individuals interested in applying to serve on the Edisto River Basin Council may also pick up an application at one of the events. Save-the-dates now and consider sharing your time and talents in protecting our state’s most valuable resource – water.
